Doug Flutie Doesn't Get Enough Respect

Last Sunday Doug Flutie converted the first drop kick attempted in the NFL since 1941. Is there anything this guy can't do?

For some reason, he's never gotten the respect he deserves.  A winner and team player wherever he went.  One of my all-time favorite non-Packers.

Maybe he'll stick around a little longer.  If nothing else, maybe he'd go down as our generation's answer to George Blanda.

I'm sure you know this but the guy who kicked the last drop kick was Ray "Scooter" McLean. Of course "Scooter" is far more famous for being the coach some guy named Vince replaced in Green Bay....
