My buddy Vlad sent me some incredible shots he took of a large herd of elk near Deer Lodge, Montana just before the Thanksgiving holiday. He played it kinda cool, but the fact is, you don't run across herds like this every day...
BTW, before you ask, although elk were in season that day, much to Vlad's chagrin, they just happened to be on the right side of the fence to keep them safe and off-limits to hunters.
