Lunch With Meagan at School

My niece Meagan is in first grade this year (“big girl“ school now).  Yesterday I had lunch with her at school.  We enjoyed a nice meal of pancakes, sausage, french fries, and a bag of milk.  A fun time was had by all.

It turned out to be a very educational experience for me.  Meagan had to teach me many new things; like the proper operation of a spork, efficient organization of food on my tray, and most importantly, how to drink a bag of milk without submerging the rest of my meal.  I'm sure these new skills will come in handy in my future life travels.

I got to meet a few of her friends, have a nice meal, and be by far the biggest person in the room for a while.  I felt like a celebrity for a half hour.  But the best part of the whole thing was seeing the smile on her face as she came into the lunch room and saw me waiting for her.  How great is that!

This is a great experience for you. I have been babysitting my nephews and nieces and they also taught me (and they continuously teach me) a lot of things, like rainbow is a real color. And that you can form that by melting candies in your hands.
