IE Developer Toolbar Beta -- Small Software Delivering Big Value

I've been doing quite a bit of skinning work lately, and debugging CSS and XHTML can be extremely tedious and frustrating.  Last night I happened upon a link to the beta version of Microsoft's new IE Developer Toolbar.  It sounded interesting enough, so I thought I'd check it out.

To exercise it a bit, I loaded a new skin for my blog that I started a couple of months ago.  The last time I worked on it I was fighting a pesky CSS glitch.  After using the new toolbar to outline all the div tags and identify all CSS classes -- Bingo!  The source of the problem was staring me in the face.  D'oh!

Quite literally, just a couple minutes after loading it, it's earned a prominent place in my personal toolbox.

I haven't had a payoff that quickly since my high school prom.  (rimshot)  Thank you very much.  I'll be here all week.  Don't forget to tip your waitress...
