More on Katrina...

Where did the roads go?

A few more interesting links I found tonight...

DigitalGlobe: Hi-Res Salellite Images of Katrina Devastation
This satellite photo of New Orleans taken yesterday (8/31/05) is particularly fascinating.  Quite literally, nearly everything is under water.  The highways simply fade away into the water and pop up again every so often.  In many areas, only rooftops are visible.  Anyone in there home when the levees broke, had nowhere to go.  The damages Superdome is located towards the bottom center.  Compare that photo to one taken before Katrina passed through town.

Hurricane LiveNet: Video of Katrina's Aftermath
Yeah, this looks bad, but keep in mind, this was taken before the flooding began.  Notice all the debris in the streets?  That's what people are potentially walking on when you see them now wading through the streets.
