I've heard it said that everyone has a double somewhere, but I can't say that I've ever bumped into mine. There was one time at the San Francisco airport when a woman came up to me and stared for an uncomfortably long time. Finally she said “I know someone that looks exactly like you.” Not knowing how to respond, I just said “I'm sorry.”
While grocery shopping yesterday, a woman approached and commented how much she thought I looked like Stephen King. I was cordial, and even offered an autograph before going our separate ways. No biggie, right? But here it is over a a day later and it still bugs me. You see, two or three times a year for the past fifteen or twenty years or so, someone has told me that I look exactly like the famous author. But I gotta say, I just don't see it. Never have. I don't even think it's close. Am I nuts? Or are they? You tell me...
Here's two good photos of Stephen King to consider -- both with and without a beard, and with and without glasses. If you have an opinion, feel free to let me know.
I mean really... Doesn't the fact that I have an upper lip count for something?
