My first thought on writing about Hitch was along the lines of “Will Smith is always great in these romantic comedies“. But when I tried to remember what other ones he was in, I couldn't think of one, so I looked it up. Sure enough, there are't any. And before you ask -- No, Men in Black isn't a romantic comedy.
Overall this was a fun movie. It won't go down as an all-time classic or anything, but it was more than worth the price of admission.
It was also nice seeing Kevin James on the big screen for a change. He was fun. And Eva Mendes is becoming one of my favorite female leads these days.
In short, if you're looking for a fun couples film, Hitch is a great choice.
