A Little Thing, But a Good Thing...

I've been bothered by lots of things going on with pro sports over the last 10 years or so, but every once in a while a ray of hope appears that tells me that that world isn't completely upside down.  This is one of those (tiny) moments...

It's the entire Dallas Mavericks team and coaches standing at attention with their hand over their heart during the National Anthem before their last preseason game a few nights ago.  I know, big deal right?  But really, ask yourself, when was the last time you saw that?

Let's see if it's the start of a trend.

Note: Mav's owner Mark Cuban also writes about it in a recent blog entry.

It is good to see, albeit a bit surprising considering it's the NBA. I think the reason is in the foreground: Don Nelson. A class act all the way.

I agree about Don Nelson being a class act, but in this case, according to Mark Cuban's blog entry, it was Michael Finley's idea.
