Mel Gibson on the Presidential Race

The other day I stumbled across the end of a Diane Sawyer interview with Mel Gibson on Dateline.  I beleive it was a repeat since it dealt primarily on “The Passion of The Christ“.  I was taken aback by his passion and honesty.  But later she changed topics began trying to pin him down on who he would support for president, and he was having none of it.  After expressing his concerns over a certain issue, she asked him “So does this mean you're supporting Kerry?”.  At that point he appeared particularly agitated, sat forward in his chair, and gave the following impassioned response...

Listen, the whole Presidential thing is a nightmare to me. Looking at this, I have not seen the candidate yet that I would feel comfortable in voting for. But when God hands you lemons, you make lemonade. Now when I go to the poles, I have to figure out which one of these guys is the biggest lemon, and squeeze him for all he's worth.

I get the feeling many Americans can relate...
