Mount St. Helens burps up some steam and ash
St. Helens stirred to life today, but it was really more like that burp I talked about than a full-blown eruption. I was a little surprised during lunch today that the web cam was showing a plume, and the seismograph was freaking out.
This will be interesting. In a few hours I'll be flying near St. Helen's on my way to catch a Seattle to Washington D.C. flight. Unfortunately it'll be too dark to really see much.
