It's no secret that the Green Bay Packers are the only publicly-owned team in professional sports. But the impact of that fact is not as evident. As with any publicly-owned company, the Packers must have an
annual stockholders' meeting. All professional coaches, and team executives have to deal with their team's owner, but only in Green Bay do they have to annually get up and explain themselves and their decisions to 111,613 owners (like me). That amazes me.
