This will be short. Monday I got up, showered, and made my way to my temporary workstation at Brad's dining room table for a day full of meetings. I can comfortably say I was never further than 20 feet from that spot for the rest of the day. Now I should go on record pointing out that although I understand their necessity, meetings are often boring and grueling. Although these meetings did nothing to dissuade that opinion, they were certainly productive. Much was accomplished.
After another wonderful dinner, Several of us took a break in the living room to watch some television. Although we were challenged to find an example of “quality” programming to occupy us, it did prove to be relaxing. An unexpected benefit was that it produced one funny memory that should prove to be a running joke for many years to come. Let's just say that the word “logos” will generate either a sly smile, or rolling eyes, among several of us far into the foreseeable future. I ended up catching up on some overdue tasks and old email late into the night before retiring after a long day.
Tuesday proved less taxing. I slept in a bit to start the day, then took a short excursion with Bob mid-day to do some necessary shopping -- including my first visit to a MicroCenter store. I caught up on other pressing work through the afternoon and early evening, then we all capped the night at Bob's house lounging by the pool.
I look forward to tomorrow -- a day off from work. Bob and I are off to Philadelphia for the day. Sight-seeing, cheese-steaks, and a Phillies game! What more can you ask for?
